How to pause or skip a month of Magic Story+

For a magicstory.com subscription, go to Account > Subscriptions and open the subscription. Select Skip next book to move your next charge back one month, or Pause subscription to take 2 or 3 months off. Review the new date and confirm. App-store memberships earn credits instead of shipping automatically, so these options are not available.
How do I skip or pause my subscription?
For a subscription billed directly on magicstory.com, you can skip or pause deliveries from your account. Both options keep your subscription in place.
App Store, Google Play, and Amazon Appstore memberships use credits and do not have Skip next book or Pause subscription options. See the app-store section below.
Open Subscriptions in your account
Sign in and go to Account > Subscriptions.
Open the subscription
Select Manage subscription on the card for the child whose books you want to skip or pause, or tap the child's name at the top of the card.
Choose Skip next book or Pause subscription
Both are listed under Delivery schedule.
Select Skip next book to move your next charge back by one calendar month. No book is made or sent for that delivery. This also works if your books usually arrive every 2 or 3 months. Telling us why is optional. The window shows your new charge date.
Select Pause subscription to stop charges and books for 2 months or 3 months. Each option shows the date your subscription restarts on its own. If you only need one month off, use Skip next book instead.
Confirm the change
Select Skip next book or Pause subscription in the window to confirm. The new date shows on the subscription page right away.
Does pausing change my price?
No. Your price stays the same while you are paused and when your subscription restarts, including any early-subscriber price.
Can I change how often books arrive?
Yes. Select Delivery frequency on the same subscription page to get a book every month, every 2 months, or every 3 months. See how to change how often books arrive.
How do I stop the subscription completely?
Open the subscription and select Cancel subscription at the bottom of the page. See how to cancel Magic Story+ for each step.
What if I subscribed through the App Store, Google Play, or Amazon?
These memberships earn credits instead of shipping a book automatically each cycle. Your account shows your credit balance and membership status, with no delivery to skip or pause.
Credit redemption is not currently available from your account. Contact us (opens in a new tab) when you are ready to use a credit for a book.
