How to choose a different story each month

For subscriptions billed on magicstory.com, your next book is selected automatically from your subscription track and reading history. You can keep that selection or choose another title before billing and order processing begin.

Which memberships support book changes?

These steps apply to subscriptions billed directly on magicstory.com. App-store memberships use credits; see the section below.

1. Open the subscription

   Sign in, go to Account > Subscriptions, and select Manage subscription on the child's card. Each card shows the next book.

2. Select Change next book

   Under the next book's cover, select Change next book. This also works while your next book is still being selected.

3. Choose a story

   Browse the available books and select a different title. The current choice is marked Up next.

4. Save your choice

   Select Save next book and wait for confirmation. The new book replaces the previous one for your next delivery.

If you are following a series, the series books are listed first. Choosing a book outside the series is a one-time swap: that book ships next, then the series picks back up where it left off. In that case the button says Save one-time swap.

If you no longer want the series, select Switch to a standard subscription in the same window. Your next books then come from our full library, and you can rejoin the series later.

When should I make my choice?

Make your change before your next billing date. Once a book has been paid for and is being made, the subscription page says so and Change next book is no longer shown for it, even if it has not shipped yet. Later changes apply to a future delivery.

If a payment did not go through, update your card first. You can choose a different book again once the payment is sorted out.

Can I get fewer books or take a break?

What if I subscribed through the App Store, Google Play, or Amazon?

These memberships earn credits and do not have a Change next book option. Account > Subscriptions shows your membership status and credit balance.
