When you create an avatar for a personalized book, we do not save the original photo you upload. We save the illustrated avatar created from it so you can personalize your stories. We do not use customer data, including uploaded photos and generated avatars, to train AI models. You must be the child’s parent or guardian, or have their permission, to upload their photo. Yes. Grandparents, family and friends can personalize a book with the child’s name and a photo their parent or guardian has approved, then enter the family’s address at checkout. The 11.25 by 8.75 inch landscape hardcover is printed in full color on premium paper, with a sturdy binding made for repeat reading and a consistent cinematic illustration style from cover to cover.

Every book is printed to order. In the US, delivery takes 5 to 10 business days from your order with standard shipping, or 5 to 8 with expedited shipping, including 3 to 5 business days of printing. Contact us within 7 days of delivery if your book arrives damaged, has a printing error or isn’t the book you ordered. Send your order number and clear photos, and we’ll review it with you and confirm whether a replacement or another fix is right. Because each book is made for your child, we generally don’t accept returns for a change of mind. See what to do if your book has a problem.

Yes. There is no long-term contract. To avoid the next charge, cancel from Account > Subscriptions at least 24 hours before your renewal date. A book already in production still arrives.

Yes. Subscription books are also available in the Magic Story app, so your child's library can travel without the hardcover.

Yes. Choose from the available library, or keep the curated selection when you want an easy next pick. You can review the story before it ships and swap when another adventure fits your child better.
