How do I add a parent or grandparent to the story?

Choose I Love You Mom, I Love You Dad, I Love You Grandma, or I Love You Grandpa, then upload a photo of the parent or grandparent. These books are designed to feature that person alongside your child.

1. Choose the matching book

   Pick I Love You Mom, I Love You Dad, I Love You Grandma, or I Love You Grandpa for the person you want to include.

2. Upload their photo

   Use a clear, well-lit photo of the parent or grandparent.

3. Confirm or edit the name

   The name starts as Mom, Dad, Grandma, or Grandpa. You can change it to whatever your child calls them.

4. Preview the story

   Finish personalizing the characters to see your child and their parent or grandparent together in the book.

Which books include a parent or grandparent?

I Love You Mom, I Love You Dad, I Love You Grandma, and I Love You Grandpa each require the matching family member to complete the story. You cannot remove that character from these books.

For other relationships, check the companion option on the book's product page. Parent and grandparent characters are available only on titles designed to include them.

Does it cost extra to include them?

For US orders, the companion costs $4.99 USD in addition to the book price, even though the character is required. The product page and checkout show the price for your shopping country. See how much a Magic Story book costs for the base price.

Can I reuse the photo on a different book?

Each of these books has its own companion. A photo you added for I Love You Mom will not automatically appear on I Love You Dad, I Love You Grandma, or I Love You Grandpa. Add the appropriate person's photo when you personalize each title.
